North Star At Home Based Business

Mark and Judi LaPoint have spent many years consulting with and helping people succeed with their own home based business. Having successfully launched, built, and sold over 10 businesses between the two of them, they understand what it takes to be successful.

Judi started her career as an employee for a large telecommunications company where she worked her way up the ladder from a long distance operator to the director of strategy development for directory services.  Along the way she earned an MBA from the University of Colorado.

She left the telecom company after 25 years to start living life on her own terms gradually becoming a serious entrepreneur —  beginning with business consulting, then launching a staffing company, moving on as a real estate investor and developer, (coaching hundreds on what it takes to be a successful real estate investment and development company), and now continuing to fine tune her skills as as a marketing consultant and home based business mentor.

Judi is active in several non-profit organizations in the community and helps them raise money for many of their worthy causes by utilizing her marketing skills.

After graduating from the University of Denver, Mark began his working life as an entrepreneur creating, building and managing a couple of restaurants in the ski resort of Breckenridge CO.  After being involved with those successful businesses, he began participating in the financial markets.  He saw a way to help others accumulate wealth, so as a licensed stock broker, he focused on helping individuals and businesses build profitable investment and cash management portfolios.

Looking to expand his horizons after a very lucrative arrangement presented itself with an opportunity to sell his business, Mark and Judi decided to build a real estate investment company.  Starting with re-habbing houses, they later became project managers for several high profile commercial developments as well as consultants for those looking to become home based business entrepreneurs focused on real estate investments and development. 

During his life as a self-employed entrepreneur, Mark has consulted with many people all across the country on what it truly takes to successfully create, build, manage, and grow their own small businesses. From restaurants, to investment services, to real estate, Mark has learned from many mistakes and successes, about what it takes to be a “winner” with a home based small business.

Judi, Mark live with their two dogs high in the Rocky Mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado. This physical environment gives them the opportunity to be involved in all kinds of outdoor activities, from skiing to snowshoeing, to hiking , biking and golfing. Life is good!
