North Star At Home Based Business

People who own a home based small business are wondering, “Where has all the money gone?” But money doesn’t just go away — money shifts from one place to another. It’s all still there – don’t worry! It just changes hands.

A few years ago, I had a consulting gig with a mega millionaire who lives in Florida.  He flies all over the country giving real estate seminars.  I’m not going to tell you his name, but I think you’ve probably heard it before?

Anyway, for the 18 months I worked with him, most times we flew together on his private jet to meeting and events. I’d get to the hanger about 10 minutes before take-off, drive my car right up to the jet, the flight staff would unload my luggage, take the keys to my car to valet it, then I’d climb on board and settle in for a relaxing flight.

Now when was the last time you’ve been on a relaxing flight?  Even if you fly first class, the plane is still crowded, the airports are jammed with people, you still need to go through the hassle of checking your bags, and going through security — it is just set up to cause stress.

You didn’t notice me talking about going through security when we were flying my client’s Gulfstream did you?

But what price luxury? He had about a $3Million dollar nut on his private jet each year — I think it was actually a bit higher than that for the Gulfstream because it was such a gas guzzler, but the fact remains, he still lays out that kind of cash — just for this one toy!

And you’ll notice that first class on all the flights are still always full, even in today’s economy. You’ll also notice the limos in Vegas are still cruising the strip. So think about it — the money hasn’t gone away — its just gone somewhere else.

By now, you’re probably asking — what has this got to do with me?  Well if your top home based business is not doing as well as you want, maybe it’s because the people you’re marketing to are no longer the ones with the money.

There is PLENTY of money out there — and if you aren’t getting any, it might be because you are looking in the wrong spot!  Stop looking for money with the people who don’t have it!

As Frank Kern says, “don’t bother with the people in coach — they are not the ones with the money!”  He says it in far fewer words, but the meaning is the same.

In fact, one of his best tips is to figure out what rich people do, then do it!

You know the money is out there — just make sure you’re thinking and acting as if you were part of the RICH instead of part of the BROKE!
